The Benifits of Facials

Besides being incredibly relaxing, there are coulntless benefits to a facial. A facial that includes microdermabrasion is regenerating because they take off the dead surface layer of the skin to reveal fresh, smooth skin. This also stimulates lymphatic drainage, which helps the skin rid itself of toxins.

As we get older our capillary walls become less permeable (because of physiological aging, sun damage, and for some because of smoking or exposure to smoke), which means there is less blood flow into skin tissue cells. An oxygenating facial has a massaging effect on the skin, which unblocks capillaries and makes them better able to deliver nutrients to skin cells.

One of the main focuses of a facial is cleaning the pores out. This is important because pores are the largest patheway of penetration into the skin for active ingredients (from skincare products) and oxygen in the environment. When pores are clear you're also less likely to break out because you don't have a breading ground for bacteria to flourish.
